Madden has spent the last 3 decades as an American pro football player, coach, and sportscaster and will be sorely missed by football fans everywhere.

It has been brought to my attention that my download manager is refusing to serve up the Sibly book when you click on the link. I apologize to all of you who have tried unsuccessfully to download the file and will work to correct the problem as quickly as possible.
All other downloads are working correctly. It’s just the Sibly book that’s acting up.
I’ll announce when it’s working.
Ebenezer Sibly (1751-1799) was an English physician, astrologer and writer on the occult. Today, he’s probably most well know for the natal chart he published in 1787 for the United States of America.
However, before that, in 1784, he published a book with the long-winded title of “An Illustration of the Celestial Science of Astrology or The Art of Foretelling Future Events and Contingencies by the Aspects, Positions, And Influences of the Heavenly Bodies”.
It was reprinted several times. What I “think” is the 1817 edition is now available in the download area. (The title page is missing, so I’m not sure.)
*Warning* - This 1130 page tome of 18th century astrology weighs in at a hefty 61.4 MB, so a fast internet connection is recommended.
Dorothy will be giving a talk on Traditional Methods of Financial Astrology on Wednesday, April 8th at 7:30pm at Fort Mason, San Francisco, CA, USA. If you’re going to be anywhere near there, I urge you to attend. You’re guaranteed to learn something new … errr something old? Ummm, you get the idea.
Don’t miss out on a great astrologer.

There are a lot of blogs on the internet and many are astrology related. However, if you try to Google astrology or do a Yahoo! search on the subject, you’re almost guaranteed to be disappointed in what you find. The vast majority of listings on the major search engines are paid advertisements and/or crack-pot “buy my services and I’ll tell you the secrets of the universe” scams.
Finding astrology sites with any actual content worth reading can be challenging at best. Below you’ll find a listing of some of the better blogs I have managed to find. It should be noted that everyone’s tastes are different and what I find totally enthralling, you might consider to be complete drivel. However, I hope you find something to tickle your fancy in the listings below. So now, in no particular order, I give you my picks for interesting astrology blogs.
First off, I notice that over on Altair Astrology, Thomas has begun what promises to be a very interesting discussion about Ptolemy’s Almagest. Hopefully, he’ll get deeper into The Almagest (and dare we hope Tetrabiblos) as the series continues.
Next, I’d like to direct your attention to Peter Stockinger’s Traditional Astrology Weblog. He has been discussing a book by the German mathematician and astrologer Nicolaus Rensberger. The book is titled, Astronomia Teutsch, or German Astrology. What makes this of such significance is that this book was printed in Augsburg in 1569. This makes Rensberger one of William Lilly’s contemporaries and it has been very interesting to see the blog’s author comparing and contrasting the astrology of the two authors.
Next up we have an interesting chart delineation for Count Claus Stauffenberg. For those of you who may not know who Stauffenburg was. He was involved in the failed assasination attempt on Adolph Hitler. A movie about the attempt, Valkyrie, was recently released. You can read Helena Avelar’s coverage of this chart at Primum Mobile.
You can always find something interesting to read about on Sue Ward’s blog. Her latest article discusses the chart of the recovery of a young girl’s remains that were recovered by archaeologists just outside a church in Kent. Some 700 years earlier, she had been decapitated and her head placed beside the body.
Finally, we move from a 700 year old murder in Kent, England to current events. The world’s foremost authority on astro weather forecasting, Carolyn Egan, discusses the recent flooding problems of the Red River in North Dakota, USA on her WeatherSage Blog and one of my favorite mundane astrologers, Dorothy Kovach, discusses Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez over on the World Astrology Network.
That’s all I have for now. I’ll be adding links for these and other blogs that I find to the blog list on the right side of this page. I hope you enjoy them.
I’ve added a new “Downloads” area to the site. Currently there are a few ebooks there. I hope to add more as time and resources permit.
Anyone who has ever been involved with astrology for any amount of time inevitably hears the term “Rodden Rating” when discussing the reliability (or lack thereof) of various persons birthdata. American astrologer Lois Rodden spent her entire life collecting birth data and documenting its level of veracity, so that astrologers everywhere would know they were working with good data when they drew up their charts. When Lois passed away in 2003, sales of her massive database began to decline and by 2008 it looked like her company, Astrodatabank, was going to fold and we were all going to loose this valuable resource.
Now, Alois Treindel and his well known company Astrodienst Zuerich have stepped in and not only rescued Astrodatabank, but made it available free-of-charge to the public.
The new Astro-Databank currently holds data on over 30,000 public figures, mundane events, etc. You can check it out here.
Everyone in the astrological community owes Alois a deep debt of gratitude for not only rescuing this valuable astrological resource, but for carrying on Lois’ work.
Note: Owners of the Astrodatabank Software versions 3.0 and 4.0 are encouraged to check out this important message from Astrodeinst.
Welcome to the new home of Free Astrology Resources.
Due to the unexpected demise of my old host, the old site is dead and gone. But why complain about something I have no control over.
Since I was forced to re-write everything anyway, I thought… “Why not look at this as a blessing in disguise and turn it into an opportunity to make FAR even better than it was before?”
I hope you’ll agree that that’s what I’ve done.
I don’t have everything back up yet, but I hope to soon. In the mean time, feel free to browse around and let me know what you think.
